Twain Harte Duck Races at Twain Harte Lake

The Duck Races are back. Once again you can purchase a duck for $5.00. There is a limited amount of ducks for sale, so you don’t want to wait till the last minute to buy that cute little rubber duck. They will round up all the ducks, including the man on the giant rubber bicycle and release them all at the same time. Let’s hope you have a fast swimmer.

The event takes place at none other than our beautiful Twain Harte Lake. The weather should be great for the rubber duck race. All the rubber ducks will be numbered and no one will be allowed to touch the rubber ducks while they float to the finish line. The ducks will start floating at around 4 pm.

The 1st places winner will receive 100.00, 2nd place winner will receive 50.00 and the 3rd place winner will receive 25.00. It’s a lot of fun for all ages, everyone has a great time. There will be a Chile cook-off, a hot dog eating contest, and wine and crackers. Bring your favorite dessert or salad to share. There will be games for the kids. You can purchase tickets at twain Harte Mini Golf, All That Matters, The Rock Of Twain Harte, Cafe Blossom, Gables Cedar Creek Inn, and Twain Harte Nights.

Major sponsors for this event are Gables Cedar Creek Inn, The Union Democrat, KVML, KKBN,and KZSQ. Event starts at noon. Music for the adults begins at 3:00 p m. Ducks go swimming at 4:00.
